God, Love, Bossa Nova
Bossa Nova singer, Mercy Dumais, is a Latin Jazz Figure of the Brazilian music lover in Indonesia. Mercy has been engaging with many Brazilian music performances & has performed in many musical event related to Brazilian Cultures. Specifically singing in Portuguese makes her appearance were very well received at the Brazilian Embassy. In particular she has frequently appeared on the show with a music section in the Brazil's Independence Day in Jakarta since 2006. She also has represented Brazil for Gala Latina Blanca 2012 in Jakarta, held by Ibero American Associattion (IAA).
Mercy had lived in Tokyo, Japan for 6 years. During her stay there she heard a lot of Brazilian Bossa Nova and fell in love with it. She returned to Indonesia (2001) and started dabbling in the world of music. She started her music career in 2002. She also made some records with her own songs, which apparently did not go well at the time. Met with Zarro in 2005 made her career started, because they have the same taste of music. And in the following year, By the Grace of God, they finally met people who involved in the Brazilian Embassy in Jakarta and help them to pursue their careers in Brazilian music.

After several years working with the Brazilian Embassy in Jakarta, Mercy started collaborating with various bands. And started collaborating with the Japanese band - Galaxy Big Band, as well. And also with Japanese musicians who came to Indonesia such as Makoto Kuriya, Kaori Mukai, Yukako Yamano, Kyoji Yamashiro and senior singer from Japan, Yukari Murazaki who at that time was the spouse of the Japanese Embassy for Asian in Indonesia.
Mercy also collaborated on in 3 countries events: Indonesia, Japan, and Brazil with Toninho Horta, Makoto Kuriya and Indoonesian Bassist, Indro Hardjodikoro which was held at Motion Blue, Jakarta. Before the pandemic, Mercy also collaborated with Japanese bands in Tokyo and Fukuoka, with Galaxy Big Band - Tokyo along with Neea Rachma and Yukako Yamano.
Approaching the end of the pandemic, Mercy began to spread her wings to Bali. And it turned out that it received very good appreciation, so that Mercy was able to collaborate with many bands of local and senior musicians in Bali.
The first collaboration in Bali was with Idham Noorsaid at the Ryoshi House of Jazz, Bali. Also the Jazz Cup event hosted by Idham Noorsaid at Kula, Bali. Also at Ryoshi House of Jazz, Mercy had collaborated with senior player Riwin Dacuba, one of Bali's senior guitarists from the Legend Tropical Transit group. Also performing at The Suku, Ubud with team: Riwin Dacuba, Bogie Prasetyo, Donny Yoesran, and Ivan Wisnu. Mercy also plays at the monthly Jazz by the Sea event organized by Ubud Village Jazz Festival, Bali and Kempinsky Hotel, Bali.
Had performed at Solo City Jazz with Rio Moreno and the Latin Groove. Also performed at Fabster, Jakarta several times with several musicians. Later on, Mercy also collaborated with many senior Indonesian musicians, such as Agam Hamzah, Oele Pattiselano, Cendy Luntungan, Happy Pretty, etc.
